Police closed off roads leading to RAF Lossiemouth (Image: Peter Jolly) A bomb disposal squad has detonated a suspicious package in a controlled explosion at RAF Lossiemouth. Police Scotland said it received a report of a "suspicious item" found at the military airbase around 11:25am on Thursday. Road closures were put in place in the vicinity of the base, with reports suggesting nearby residents were also evacuated from their homes.
